Our Charities

Here in the Facilities Directorate we are committed to supporting one local and one national charity every year.

Our staff take great pride in hosting and participating in regular events and activities to raise funds for the charities they have chosen to support.

Our ambition is to raise £12,000 for each of our chosen charities every year.

If you would like to join the fundraising team to help organise events, or if you have an idea on how we can raise money for these great charities, then please contact:

Established in 1988, the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund at Leeds General Infirmary is a charity providing support for children and adults born with Congenital Heart Defects and their families.

CHSF provides valuable equipment, resources and research, as well as providing a support service for both the children and their families along the way.

Alzheimer’s Society

Dementia can happen to anyone and there’s currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.

At Alzheimer’s Society, we believe passionately that life doesn’t end when dementia begins. We are here for anyone affected by dementia, and we do everything we can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most.
