On Tuesday 12 November the Facilities Directorate helped the International Office with a visit from the East China Normal University in Shanghai. The delegates were interested in seeing the University of Leeds’ teaching, accommodation and catering facilities, as well as the University grounds and gardens and some of the construction works currently underway.
The tour was led by Claire Freeston, Senior International Officer, and colleagues from across the FD assisted in showing the visitors around Central Village, the Refectory, the Facilities Directorate building and a tour of the grounds and gardens. Leeds is ranked as one of the top 100 universities globally, and it’s great to see international recognition of the role the Facilities Directorate plays in building and maintaining that reputation.
The delegation said that they really enjoyed the visit and were “impressed and inspired by what we’ve learnt about your university and your expertise”.
